Described as "unconventional and imaginative leaving [the audience] clamouring for more,"* Oliver Lewis brings his new set of spoken word, Lampoonery of the Shallow to Jax On The Square. The evening will feature very special guest Lorna Rose Gill preceeded by music from local talent, George Bengree and three open mic-ers.

Oliver Lewis, the author of the poetry collections Wisp Thin Skin and Lampoonery of the Shallow, has been shortlisted for the Orwell Youth Prize, which "[s]upports the next generation of socially engaged young writers and thinkers." In 2024, his work appeared in Nowhere Girl Collective. He is a Creative Writing and English Literature student and works as a bookseller in York. He performs his poetry across the UK, including two double-bill headline shows at Charcoal Gallery, a headline performance at St. Mary's Creative Space, and was part of the 2024 cast…
