Described as "unconventional and imaginative leaving [the audience] clamouring for more,"* on this one-off evening, Oliver Lewis headlines St Mary's Creative Space with his new set of spoken word, Lampoonery of the Shallow. The evening will also feature very special guests: Liverpool-based poet and performer, Wes, alongside poet and musician Christian Bell. This is set to be a celebration of poetry, spoken word, comedy and music.
Oliver Lewis is the author of two collections of poetry, Wisp Thin Skin and Lampoonery of the Shallow. He has been shortlisted for the Orwell Youth Prize, "[s]upporting the next generation of socially engaged young writers and thinkers." In 2024, his writing has featured in Nowhere Girl Collective. He performs poetry across the UK, including two double-bill headlines at Charcoal Gallery, and was part of the 2024 cast of Queer Spaces: Live! at York Theatre Royal with Roots Touring.
